Pastor Mike

At an early age, Pastor Michael Todd Brown understood that there was more to ministry than just
showing up to Sunday School, Worship Service and midweek Bible Study and actively sought a personal,
intimate relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pastor Mike credits his brother, Dean, for
introducing him and his mother to Jesus. He was baptized at the People’s Baptist Church, (Canton, Ohio)
by Pastor Walter J. Arrington and served in multiple auxiliary ministries.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Pastor Mike graduated from Canton McKinley Senior High School and received
his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Degree from Baldwin-Wallace University in 1994. He
answered his call and was licensed to the preaching ministry on May 7, 2006. Under the tutelage of
Bishop Kenneth Paramore, Pastor Mike was ordained on June 5, 2011, at the Christ Centered Church,
Youngstown, Ohio. While at the Christ Centered Church (Akron, OH), he served as the ministry lead for
Children’s Church and sang in the choir.

An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Mike is known for his practical preaching and teaching
style which helps people apply the transcendent truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. He is the
founder of Team Issachar, Incorporated, a local non-profit with the purpose to help males understand
the purpose God has given them and the true design of their interpersonal relationships.
In his professional career, Pastor Mike serves as the Director of Community Development for the YMCA
of Central Stark County, where he has worked for 21 years, and currently serves on the board of Refuge
of Hope Ministries and the Stark Community Support Network.

Mike is the proud parent of five (5) children - Rashad, Diamond, Jailynn, Cadence and Ava; grandfather
to three (3) – Darell, LaShaye, and Kai;  and uncle to two (2) nieces – Alyssa and Lauren.
